Common questions
How much does gelato catering cost?
Vinci Authentic Gelato runs $7.20 to $9.00 per guest with a $900 minimum. A 100-guest event is $900, 200 guests is $1,650, 300 guests is $2,325. There is no service charge.
Do you add a service charge?
No. Many caterers add 15 to 20 percent at the end for travel, insurance and card fees. We do not. The quoted price is the final price.
What changes the price?
Guest count, how long you need the cart serving, the venue location, and any premium additions.
Is there a deposit?
Ask us when you request your quote and we will lay out the terms with the price.
Do you charge extra for travel?
Travel within 30 miles of our Provo shop is included. Beyond 30 miles, which covers most of the Salt Lake Valley, a travel fee applies. It is quoted up front with your proposal, never added afterward.
Can we add cones or drinks?
Yes. Cones and drinks can be added to any package.
How far in advance should we book?
As soon as you have a date. Weekend dates in wedding season fill first. Short-notice events can usually be accommodated, but they carry a premium, because we pay our team more to staff an event on short notice.

Gelato catering or ice cream catering?
Most people planning a wedding or an office party search for ice cream catering. What we bring is the Italian version of it. Gelato is churned slower, so it holds less air, and it is made with less fat and served a little warmer — which is why the flavor comes through more strongly than it does in ice cream. If you are looking for ice cream catering in Utah, this is that service: an attended cart, a two-person team, and gelato made in small batches at our shop at 490 N Freedom Boulevard in Provo.
